An Orion Trading Vessel in Federation space, and sometimes a Raiding vessel outside of it. They are protected by ancient treaties made with the Orions in years past, and maintain their own cultures aboard their own ships. Jaras Vale is a product of the genetic breeding programs, having the equivalent of a quarter romulan blood and enjoys their longevity - thus being older than he appears. He has risen through the ranks of the guild and syndicate, but prefers hands on work. He takes the XO position, working diligently to protect ship and faction. He is a mythology fan, including that of ancient earth. |

Positions / Posts
Captain (CO): The Captain is responsible for the ship and the safety of all aboard.
First Officer (XO): The first Officer is just that. . . He/she oversees all departments, and has the authority to give orders to anyone on the ship, except of course, the Captain. He/she is responsible for delegating work schedules and seeing that all maintenance schedules are kept. He develops and organizes the duty roster. The first officer will lead away teams, unless otherwise specified by Captain.
Counselor: The Counselor is responsible for the mental health of the crew. He/she will provide counseling to all persons aboard the ship. He/she will also give special guidance and insight to the Captain, by providing the Captain with psychological profiles and opinions. This position is very often filled by a telepath.
Helm: Helm is responsible for all flight control operations of the ship, course plotting, manual flight and position verification.
Ops (Operation Management): The OPS officer is responsible for coordinating ship activities so as to not overload any systems. Also handles communications, hailing, ship to ship, away teams, etc. OPS also handles all transporter operations, and monitors away teams status. OPS acts as a bit of jack of all trades, also monitoring ship sensors and capable of taking over Weapons control from Tactical, or Shield maintenance from Helm.
Tactical: Tactical is responsible for all defensive systems (shields, phasers, photons, etc.) And internal security. Tactical also scans and provides data on all encountered vessels.
Science: Science is responsible for all scans, reports, and other types of pertinent data on all types of encountered phenomenon. Conducts surveys and studies of same. A science officer is on all away teams. Science personal report to the Science Station Bridge Officer or to OPS.
Engineering: The engineering section is run by the Chief Engineer, who is responsible for all personel within Engineering. Engineering handles nearly all mechanical aspects of the ship, but first and foremost is the warp and impulse engines. They are also responsible for the power requirements of the ship. Engineering also does nearly all the diagnostics and maintenance of the ships systems. All engineering personal report to the Chief Engineer.
Medical: The Medical section is run by the Chief Medical Officer (CMO). All other Medical personal report to the CMO. The CMO is responsible for the physical well being of the crew. The CMO will also perform studies on alien and unknown life forms. And will give medical assistance to anyone or anything that needs it.
Security: Is responsible for the security of the ship and all persons aboard. A security person shall accompany all away teams. All security personal report to the Security Chief. Security Chief reports to Tactical Officer.
