Priority One Umbrella Update:
With the Raccoon City incident sterilized, we thought that the outbreak of the T-Virus had been neutralized. We were wrong.
As of this morning, reports of infectious spread in several major cities have been reported. Tokyo, New York City, Chicago, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. We've managed to suppress media outlets coming from these cities in hopes to control panic among survivors. All signs are pointing to massive spread in these areas. We were not ready for such a major spread of infection in these major cities, the decision was made this morning all Umbrella facilities were put on High Alert and into lock down.
During the last committee meeting, Chairman Wesker informed the President of the United States and the Japanese Prime Minister of the dangers facing their countries. Both government leaders are in the process of relocating to secure areas in the event that the threat cannot be contained.
The President, the Secretary of Defense and the Joint Chiefs of Staff have all agreed, further sterilization of the infected cities are necessary. Fortunately this presents a prime opportunity for Umbrella to gain further research data on the spread. Special Forces have been deployed in all major cities to monitor the situation.
The Japanese, as could be expected, were not too thrilled to the idea of the United States launching any precision nuclear devices on their country and have forbid it. Blockade of the entire Japanese Island is the only safe way to ensure that the infection doesn't spread from their country at this time.
As of this moment the FAA has been instructed to ground all commercial and private aircraft to minimize the rapid spread of disease and all foreign flights to and from either countries have been suspended.
Umbrella operatives are to use extreme caution and all necessary means to prevent the T-Virus from spreading outside of the cities mentioned. All necessary force is authorized.
Stay tuned for further updates.
