Common Divine Powers Immortality : Gods and Goddesses cannot be killed or even normally maimed except by Hind's blood or the like. Lightning or Fire blasts : Zeus by far has the most powerful lightning Strength : Though mortal, Hercules is as strong as nearly any god Healing : Can heal wounds suffered by mortals. They can NOT raise the dead, except possibly for Hades. Invisibility : Cannot be seen or heard by mortals. Though demigods and Xena can usually sense the presence of deities. They can also talk to each other while invisible, and not be heard by mortals unless they wish it. Scrying : Dieties can watch their favorite mortals from afar, often using pools of water or flames to scry through. Communication : They can call to each other and normally be heard. Mortals are sometimes heard if they call the dieties names, especially if they are favored by them. This chance is heightened in the deities temples, and actually damaging the temple almost surely attracts attention. Teleportation : Dieties can teleport at will, though not normally into other dieties strongholds if that diety has the area sealed against intrusion. ZEUS and HERA can teleport into any diety's presence, even if the area is sealed. Flight : Dieties can fly, though most are not graceful about it and prefer to walk ... they CAN walk on air. Some of the better flyers are Hermes (with his sandles), Apollo (with his chariot) and Cupid (with his wings). Summon Item : Dieties can summon items, or animals etc from their strongholds to them. They commonly summon weapons ... to use in battle or to bestow as gifts upon their followers.
