It had been a day since her return to her planet. With the help of ‘Jean’, the escape had gone rather flawlessly. It had not been her choice method in leaving Tau’ri, but the fact that she had gotten off the planet was fine enough for her. She had spent far too much time there and her absence had clearly affected her Jaffa.
After hearing updates on what had transpired in her absence, Diana was not pleased. Ra had been destroyed in what sounded like a glorious battle. She had never cared for him and didn’t shed much tears on his death. It would, however, introduce a growing headache for her. The death of Ra would create an unbalance with the system lords and soon leave her with a list of those that looked towards her own demise. The next few days and the spread of this news would be interesting for her.
Dressed in a simple white dress, Diana waited quietly in the main chamber of her home. A meeting hall of sorts, it stood in the center of the ‘fortress’ barely off the large open courtyard. The building itself was built with inspiration of Roman architecture. The layout of the building spanned several arches giving it room enough to house the higher leaders of her Jaffa and their families. Outside were more homes, built of the same architectural looks, a copy of Rome. A place were all of her Jaffa live, in a very tight community.
Having summoned ‘jean’ a few minutes before, Diana waited quietly in the nearly empty room. A few Jaffa stood guard close by, watch the vast expanse of the room and keep their ladies safety well guarded. Diana paced quietly which she waited, her hands clasped firmly behind her back. It was an old habit that she had carried from host to host, picked up from the first Tau’ri she had overtaken. Having found it’s motion soothing she had continued to use it throughout the decades as a way to calm herself.
***
My host is exceedingly difficult to control and almost escaped once if I hadn't caught him in time, soon enough there would be no more struggle as I grow stronger every day. Despite the guards at my chamber door, I feel much freer here than I have felt anywhere before. But I do not mistake myself for a creature of power, I am at the mercy of my Lady and I know it well. But here I am among equals, not lowly primates.
When summoned I am escorted to Diana's reception hall, a Jaffa on each side and though I do try to act humble, I can't help that my back is straight and my head is high. I am Goa'uld, we do not crawl.
"My Lady, you are looking.refreshed." I smirk.

Diana stopped her pacing when Jean entered. Raising a hand, she gestured for her Jaffa to back away and keep a distance close to the doors. The Jaffa, understanding the gesture, nodded their heads and backed away. Lingering by the doors, the stood almost completely still like statues.
Focusing her attention on Jean once more, Diana’s hand again became clasped behind her back. “I am better now that I am here among my own. I should thank you for your assistance in fleeing that place.” Pursing her lips, she thought for a moment before speaking. She would not thank him outright, that was not her way. “You survived where your siblings did not. A regrettable loss.”
No remorse really registered on her face as she studied Jean. “You leave me in a predicament. Leaving Tau’ri with your host will leave a bad taste in the mouths of those people. Your host… what is it’s thoughts?”
***
I look to the retreating Jaffa then look back to Diana with a raised brow. It is a rough life, that of a Jaffa, I did what I had to do to insure my own security, no matter the sacrifice. "My host is..insignificant, his thoughts will quiet in time, he just needs to be properly trained." And I happen to be sadistic enough to be the Goa'uld for the job. "I would not leave me unguarded, though, just in case."
I can feel Jean under my flesh, like oil and water battling for control. Eventually, water settles on the bottom. "He has a great knowledge of the Tau'ri and their technology, though it is primitive compared to ours."
***
Diana did not look please with the attitude that this young Goa’uld showed. This mind set was not becoming and would be his end if he did not learn to control is feelings. Many a system lord had fallen because of such a mindset. Diana had no relation to this youngling, but she would try to protect it as long as she could.
“Your host is as threatening as you are, my young one.” There was no need for hostilities, but Diana did feel the need to put Jean in his place. “Your adolescent understand is very discouraging. It is for me to decide what is insignificant, not you.” Her voice grew slightly in tone, her once calming features turning to anger.
“What of the planet? Where is the Chappa'ai?” Diana needed to understand what had become of Tau’ri. She knew of the previous location of the gate, but was it still there? If she were to go back as she had said upon her departure, a better tactical understanding must be laid.
***
I resist the urge to speak up for myself, I am at her mercy, it would serve me better to cater to her will, one is simply not born with power, one learns and one slowly acquires it. I have an eternity to get where I want to be. "Forgive me, my own impulses mixed with the hosts are somewhat..unpredictable." Which is true, we are blended, up to a point. Our minds are one.
"The Gate is as you have seem, surrounded by their base and heavily guarded, not where it used to be, but moved to their Americas, a continent over the ocean from the ancient lands you remember." If an invasion was called for, there would only be two ways of going along with it, infiltration or aerial assault. But I keep my opinion to myself for now.
***
“The unsettled continent…” She muttered to herself. Growing quiet, Diana thought over the location. It was in a base of some kind and heavily guarded. Neither of which was pleasing to her. Though she did not consider the Tau’ri a threat, she did not want to see any opportunities wasted.
As she stood in silence, a young Jaffa woman entered into the chamber. With her head bowed and looking at the floor, she moved quickly to Diana. Turning her head, Diana watched as the Jaffa came closer. “…yes?” Diana asked.
“M’lady… Goddess Athena’s vessel wish to speak with you. They say it is of urgen-“ The girl could not finish her sentence before Diana cut int.
“I am busy. Relay a message that I will speak to Athena soon. I have other matters which acquire my undivided attention.” Again her looked upon Jean with narrow eyes.
Bowing once more, the Jaffa quickly turned and left the room. Down the hall she would enter a room and relay the message to Athena’s ship.
Diana’s attention again focused on Jean. “There was no windows at this place… is it below ground?” This task of getting information was starting to irritate her. She could torture a person into answer questions quicker than this young Goa’uld.
***
I watch the woman curiously when she enters. Athena was calling and I am surprised that Diana did not wish to see her, all on my account. "Several floors underground, an assault through the gate would have very little chance of breaking the surface. Letting that sink in but I can see that she wants more information, it's not as easy for me to just guess at what she wishes.
"There is a failsafe installed that would simply vaporise the whole complex should the security of the Tau'ri be compromised. They would sacrifice themselves to protect their people." Digging up information from a reluctant host is giving me a headache.
***
“We cannot have them do that… regardless, an attack may be ill advised at this point in time.” Beginning to base once more, Diana debated what could be done. She still had the coordinates of Tau’ri, but knew an aerial attack would not only take time but would be a drain on resources.
An attack could also be unwarranted. Even if she was seen as a god to most, Diana did not have problems forging alliances with those that could help her in the end. Diana was in this for herself and her Jaffa. All others came second and she was often very clear on those intentions.
Stopping in her pacing, she turned to look at Jean once more. “Your current host leaves me with very little options. Do you wish to remain or select a new host?” There were many on this planet that were not Jaffa and could possibly take the place if Jean so choose.
Diana knew that the current host was a last resort to prevent the death of the young Goa’uld. It was a body of circumstance, unfortunately. Though the host would be excellent for possible infiltration, Diana held some pride towards the hosts that were used. Very similar to Tok’Ra, any hosts selected for the Goa’uld in her Jaffa were willing hosts. It was a belief she had picked up long ago from another and continued with that mind set long after his death.
***
There is it was, the choice that could go wrong in many ways. "I believe that this host suits my purposes." That and I want to crush him and bend him to my will. "Should we have further encounters with the Tau'ri, a familiar face could..assist in putting to rest certain tensions, if anything, making the Tau'ri believe that the Host is here willingly could keep us in their good graces, as it is, they might be rather cross with him for orchestrating your escape." Lets make sure she doesn't forget that part.
***
Her lips pursed once more before she spoke. The young one did have a point, even if it was a very shallow. “I believe that a careful eye should be kept upon these Tau’ri.” Unclasping her hands from behind her back, she brought them forward and then crossed her arms in front of her chest. “I am sure they are not pleased that your left… and would possibly want you back.”
Sighing softly, she shook her head. “These people are smart and will no doubt run tests when you are returned. They were rather quick to find my symbiote… and thus would be very quick to find yours.”
Pacing once more, she thought over what could be done. This situation with the Tau’ri was becoming very complicated. Complications was something that Diana despised. Stopping her pacing, she looked at Jean once more. “You will develop a plan. Find a way to keep the Tau’ri as a neutral party to us. With the abduction of your host, it will no doubt leave a foul taste with them.. a taste which I want to resolve.”
Seeming rather pleased with the idea, Diana smirked slightly. “I will give you two days time to figure out a solution to this. If you cannot come up with anything to my liking, you will choose another host and the Tau’ri host will be sent back.”
Raising a hand, she gestured for the Jaffa guards that had escorted Jean to her to come forward. “If you fail… and the Tau’ri is dead when you assume a new host, I promise you that your outcome will not be pleasant.” Diana knew that keeping the consciousness of the Tau’ri host alive would be difficult and rather torturous. If the young Goa’uld killed the consciousness before the two days were up, there was no denying that they young symbiote would meet it’s end as well.
“Two days.” Diana repeated as the guards came up next to Jean. Nodding her head slight, the smirk remained on her lips. Turning, Diana moved towards the opposite end of the hall. The young Goa’uld would have an interesting two days ahead of him.
