*Joseph looked over his reports, information coming from the other bases weren't good and they had lost contact with some of them. How could they be over run when they had planned for this? Maybe there was something they hadn't planned for, maybe some mutation or maybe the lack of a full one. He didn't know the last hours were always scrambled. Either way Director Dalton needed to know the survivability rate had drastically dropped and he moved from his office and headed down to hers*
Monica
Monica Dalton, Umbrella's Director of Operations in New York City. A city which had such ease to send things in and out, a port, millions of people, and a power grid that could sustain the facility beneath it. What Umbrella hadn't expected was that it's facility would become a last refuge while the world above it went to hell quickly.
And the one person watching everything was Monica Dalton. Her office had multiple video screens on the far left wall. A sleek black desk on the center wall and a bold Umbrella logo in the floor before it. It was before the screens that she stood, her hands clasped behind her back as she watched the multiple surveillance feeds from the surface. Thousands, hundreds of thousands being slaughtered. Mass chaos and panic. Yet she seemed less shocked by it than most. She knew the risk, they all did. At least, those top executives, the directors, they knew what could happen, they just never knew it would.
Joseph
*He worked over the plans in his head, nothing was supposed to be able to break into the facilities, nothing that had been revealed to him. But then again who was he? Simply the head of security for one base, he was not Director as Monica was. And she was who he'd go in search of. He grumbled as the lift took forever to finally reach the level where he office was and it's not always easy even as head of security to just walk in and speak with her. He growled a bit as he spoke to the people trying to detain him and get his information for themselves to present to her but he was having none of it and wasn't exactly being quiet or calm about it when they moved to take the briefcase at his side*
Monica
Monica's eyes glimpsed towards the display of the internal facility, her hands drew forward as she pointed to the screen, clasping her hand and drawing it towards the center of the array it took full screen. She made motion and a menu was drawn up of other cameras, flipping through them till she was to the one outside of her office. Oh the joys of motion detection sensors. Her eyes watched the display of the Major making a scene. Whatever he had to say must've been important enough, creating a ruckous outside a woman's office who could put a bullet in his brain and no one would ever question her was dangerous, something that people only did if necessary.
She turned towards the door, giving a wave of her hand which had it unlock and the dual doors slowly slide open hissing. Giving her a perfect view of the Major and those outside as she spoke, her accented tone clearly reaching out.
"Send the Major in."
Her eyes drited away, focusing back on the screen as she motioned with her hands a few more times, returning the display to the hubs of the city, letting her watch the chaos outside.
Joseph
*Joseph smirked as the doors opened and brought his fist up to one of the men standing before him, nailing him in the nose. He stepped over the man even as he still fell to the ground, his nose bleeding and his body falling into unconsciousness as the Major stepped over his form with a smirk upon his lips. He walked in, past the doors that had opened with only the wave of her hand, his eyes upon her as he stepped in*
"Thank you for seeing me on such short notice Director Dalton."
*He didn't jump to a salute this wasn't the military no matter his old position or the rank of Major. He wondered how much she truly knew of their situation and those in the other locations*
Monica
Monica's head turned and her eyes focused on the Major as he entered, lingering with such a cold and emotionless glare before she glimpsed back towards her screens. Her hands reclasped behind her as she spoke, her voice easily reaching him.
"To what do I owe this unexpected visit Major?" she asked, her eyes focusing in on a particular victim fighting, being overwhelmed and having mouthful after mouthful of her body being torn away. So strong, and vicious they were.. it make her smirk a little.
Joseph
*He watched her, knowing well her emotionless personality and her odd delight in violence...well he thought so. With all these screens she rivaled even the security station upstairs*
"I've been looking over things, the other bases...they're not as secure as we once thought. It appears some of them have been run over, not just by the creatures but something breaking in and letting them follow. From what I've seen I don't see us being able to hold out like we had planned on. I was hoping as Director you knew a great deal more then was I was given information on, and might have a solution to our possible entrapment here."
Monica
The Director's eyes turned and focused on the Major for a moment once again before she calmly crossed the room to her desk, taking a seat behind it and bringing her hands up, clasping and resting atop it as she kept her eyes on him. "From what I can tell Major, those facilities were compromised by lax security allowing unauthorized personnel access to the facility." she stated.
"Just as you've done. Fortunately, the survivor you found was not infected, but if she had been you'd have placed this entire facility at risk." Director Dalton stated, her cold look right on him. "You must not ever allow that to happen again Major."
"As to plans... Umbrella always has plans for this type of situation. We are not as trapped as you'd believe. "
Joseph
*He growled a bit as she brought up Andrea but quickly calmed himself as he watched her. Her claim that they had been dumb enough to allow an infected victim into their facility didn't match with his findings but what she wanted to cover up was not his concern. He concentrated instead on the plans for this type of situation*
"I wouldn't have brought her in if i had suspected she would be, regardless of my choice to not allow innocents to die like certain people, I think we may need to put one of those plans into action before we get fully cut off. I have no plans to allow the surface doors to open again unless we're evacuating. What is there to do Director, while the rest of the people here might be oblivious to the happenings outside I am not and neither are you."
