Lucius
The games had been a nice distraction for Lucius, and Anori had won her bet, before
they the day had ended they were chanting his name. They had done a re-enactment of
one of the many battles he had been in. Many people had wanted to talk to Lucius, he
was a celebrity of the day. It was slow getting through the crowds but they were able
to make it home. Of course he had given the servants instructions before they even left
and now, they had came through for when they had come back to her house, there was a feast
prepared, meats, cheeses, bread, the finest wine, fruits, nut. He could not beleive that
their wedding was just in a matter of days, He wanted to do something special for her.
"I hope you don't mind but I took the liberty of directing your father's servants" he
said with a grin
Anori
Anori was quite pleased with herself as the day came to a close at the end of the games. Her soon husband to be was a celebrity. The people certainly wouldn't forget his name anytime soon. It had elevated her beloved into the forefront for the craved Senate Seat.
Senator Lucius Decius, it had such a nice tone to it. Wife of Senator Lucius Decius sounded even better. Anori was well aware of the things her Lucius was doing back home, what proper wife didn't keep up with her husband's activities? Even though she knew, she didn't let on that she had the slightest idea as the two made their way back to the villa, entering in with Lucius, she loosened her arm from around his as she glimpsed around to the great feast being prepared. Her lips were instantly graced with a smile as she turned back to him and stepped to him, her fingers lightly traced up the chest of his tunic up to his neck as she looked up to his eyes.
"Lucius, you are full of surprises and most welcome to command them if this is end result." she replied, resting her forehead against his with a large grin before drawing back and glimpsing to his eyes.
"Shall we partake of a victor's feast? You for defeating the Gauls and I for defeating you in bet!" she joked, eyes teaming with playfulness.
Lucius
He knew that she was just feigning surprise, one thing he had learned from men who
have long been married, when it came to matters of the house, you could not surprise
the wife on anything. He did not mind. He was pleased she liked the end result. One
would think that the empty seat in the Senate would weigh heavily on his mind. It did
not. He knew he had influence and he had allies and support, if he did not get it, his
influence would be used elsewhere. Afterall he was a soldier and a pretty d**n good one
at that. No what weighed pleasently and happily on his mind was his upcoming wedding
That to him took precedence over everything, He was wealthy, even if he did not get the
seat he would be fine financially, more than fine.
She rested her forehead against his in which he brought a hand up to caress a cheek, her
skin was so soft, so smooth, when she asked about partaking the feast it was go time.
"Not quite yet my Love" and with that he motioned for a servant who held a small pillow
something rested on it but it was covered with what looked like silk. "I had wanted to
give you this since before we bumped into each other in the market that day" The servant
brought the pillow before Anori, while Lucius looked on and waited to see her reaction to
the gift he had for her
Anori
Anori smiled as she looked to Lucius' eyes as he halted their movement to the feast. She stayed with him, so close, in his arms, turning to look at the servant whom came over with the bolt of silk. Her lips curled to a smile as she extended her hand out, taking hold of it and drawing it to her cheek, softly brushing the fabric along her skin and feeling it before she looked back to Lucius with a grin.
"A beautiful gift Lucius. It will make a stunning dress." she replied with smile. "I'll have to ensure it's crafted into something alluring for your eyes." she grinned.
Lucius
Lucius watched as she removed the silk from the minuiture pillow and all he could do
was smile at her approval of the silk
"I will definitly get you more to make what your heart desires my love and I know
it will look so good on you that the gods themselves will be jealous" he paused as he
reached for the item sitting on the pillow and showed her with just a big smile on his
face
"I am very happy that you like the silk my darling" He said as he took a jeweled
necklace and put it around her neck "But this is something I had wanted to give you
since before we bumped into each other in the marketplace" He paused as he now stood in
front of her admiring how she made the necklace look even more beautiful.
"I Had gotten that when we plundered one of the outposts in Germania" He told her, he
then just looked at her with radiant eyes, she was truely beautiful, she needed no
enchancement In a whisper "By the Gods you are so beautiful"
Anori
Anori smiled at him as she was presented with the necklace. If the bolt of silk wasn't extravagant enough. Her eyes reflected the shimmering jewels as he brought them up, placing them against her soft smooth flesh, his powerful hands behind her head, fastening the necklace. Her eyes looked up to his face as she smiled more broadly.
"Even the brightest jewels couldn't compare with the knowledge that soon I will be your wife Lucius." she spoke, her fingers brushed up to his jaw, along his cheek as she brought his lips to her own, kissing him with a deepened affection, lingering with that of passion before she gently drew back and whispered to him, the bridge of her nose against his as she kept his head tilted against her own, "The necklace is beautiful, perhaps tonight you would enjoy seeing me wear it with nothing else, Legatus Decius. " she grinned at him, looking to his eyes teasingly before she drew back away from him to proceed on a bit further into the villa.
Lucius
He grinned and whispered "Now that would be a site to see my love" he said in regards
to the comment of wearing JUST the necklace later. They continued down further closer
to the feast that lay before them. A Servant offered each of them a goblet of wine,
Lucius took his and sipped it
"Just wait till the wedding feast, this is just a very small version of it, If I had
it my way Id have all of Rome celebrate with us" He grinned and then took his seat at
the table
Anori
Anori smiled largely as she looked among the grand feast being displayed as a sampling as to what would be seen at their wedding day feast. She soon returned back to Lucius side, gliding her arm around his back and leaning to his side as she gazed among the items there. She walked along with him, taking samples of the food displayed there. Even upon occasion giving Lucius something also, taking a cup of wine she drank along with him, savoring the fine wines as she glimpsed amongst Rome's finest being displayed.
Soon enough her eyes returned back to her fiance.
"All of Rome will celebrate with us, during the parade my father has seen to it that the crowd be given coin and food in celebration. " she smiled to him. Her eyes lingered with his for moment before she leaned to his ear to whisper, "Why dont we feast later.. I suddenly have a great desire to show you the little act I promised you moments ago.." she grinned at him, her fingers slowly drifted down his tunic, along his stomach and then just a bit lower, a teasing glide of her fingers in accentuation.
