*The Schemer had been fuming the last few days. Spectre and Hard Core turned on him and refused to allow him to destroy the top pop bands of the 60s. During that time...the Schemer ignored both of them. He visited his two new born daughters....spent time with them....kept up the pretense of being a cardinal....but not a word did he speak to his beloved.
Then...suddenly...out of the blue...so to speak....he entered Hard Core's bedroom carrying numerous bags and boxes. He simply dropped them on her bed...displayed numerous maps....GPS....and other locating devices. In addition....there were heavy winter jackets....gloves, hats....snow shoes.*
I've located an source of wealth to make up for the lost revenue you and Spectre cost. Shall I explain??

She blinks awake behind her slumber mask and slides it up a little to make sure it was him...not as if his fast speech wasn't a giveaway...and the same cologne he's worn since dinosaurs roamed the Earth...other than just Manhattan island.
"By all means...explain."
She sits up a bit more and takes the mask off, setting it aside on her nightstand before easing from the bed to look through the various locators while still in her pajamas.

My geological survey robots have encountered an anomaly....shall we say. A vast opening in the icy undercurrents of the upper mantle in a patch of the arctic. It can only be two things....oil.....or natural gas. I intend to drill it out....and use that money to make up for the loss of English revenue once I take control of the roman catholic church.*

"Well, that would explain the cold weather gear you dumped onto me upon entering. Were your survey robots able to determine if the patch was actually a different substance, or just that it wasn't registering as part of the ice flow?"
She makes her way to her closet, seeking out some clothing to wear beneath the lays of winter gear he had brought in, figuring a nice sweater at least...though, heading to the arctic would probably entail thermal undergarments as well.
"And I still think the thought of stealing musicians from the past wouldn't have worked...once they were removed, knowledge of them would have been too."

He stopped by to see how his mother was doing and if his father was home walking up and through the hallways. He heard a commotion in the bedroom, and at first was thinking. "Ok early morning boink boink...ewww..." But then he heard talking and it lasted more than a minute, he didn't hear the walls shaking or feel the floor vibrating, so he figured they were talking business, Schemer and talking...that took a while.
He headed to the door listening in, hearing something about a ring, some dark lord and the end of the world...just kidding, a grin on his face, he heard about the arctic and peeked in looking at them both waving. "Morning..."

I assure you....whenever is down there must be either free flowing air...a.k.a.....natural gas....or oil. The readouts indicate either fluid....or a vaporous mass. What else could account for it??

"Vaporous mass? Sounds like Lark's talent." She has to snicker a bit at the notion before coming from the closet dressed.
"Morning Thomas." She goes over and kisses him on the cheek.
She moves over and grabs the coat she assumes is for her...and begins to pull it on. "Considering all the things that could be listed as vaporous masses in subfreezing areas, I would think oil would be out...as it's technically denser than the ice should be. Natural gas is possible, though I'm not certain what would have existed in the region before hand. Of course, there's the ever possible notion that cold, often dark places attract the Nath."

He looked at the jacket, gloves and hat and then looked to his father. He rose a brow and chuckled wondering if his father remembered what normally happened to clothes and him and laughed a little. "Huh...clothing..." He said looking down at his t-shirt and pair of shorts. He figured it was going to be cold, he'd probably phase out and freeze to death, him and the cold didn't go together very well...
He smiled as Adrianna gave him a kiss on the cheek and then he laughed a little hearing about vaporous masses, heading over to the bathroom, walking out with a can of glade, picking up his jacket sliding it on, then stuffing his gloves in his back pocket, pulling his hat off and putting the other one on, sticking the can of glade in his pocket. "Just in case that vaporous mass is the Blob or something...never know..."

The nath?? the blob?? You two are so full of high hopes and trust in my judgment aren't you. *He shook his head...again lamenting the fact people surrounding him simply could not cope with his intense levels of genius.*
Anyway...I've helicopter ready to take us to th site. I was unable to secure the land for legal drilling. Some swine in metropolis owns the land and set it aside for a nature reserve...however....I have found away around this with the aid of that famed and corrupt real estate agent.....Otto Retch.

She wondered about a nature reserve...held by someone in Metropolis and shrugs a bit.
"Ice drilling should be fine...even if you couldn't get on the land directly, there's still ways to reach it, just by setting up conduit sites for horizontal lines."
She zips up her jacket and stretches in it, before putting her hat on.

He headed to the garage to let Lotus know to follow them all just in case and the car nodded and took off, flying off into the sky, he then headed out of the garage and up stairs and up through the roof exit, heading over to the chopper and hopped up in.
He moved to the far edge of the chopper, his right side leaning against the side of the window as he leaned his head against it looking out the window. He was already rich, his father was so into making money, Winston sometimes wondered if he had every penny of every currency in the world and there wasn't a dime left to be owned would it be enough, if he owned every crumb of land or every possible thing that ever existed from past to future would it be enough.
He looked over at his mother and his cardinal father, then back out the window, smelling old man in the air, why couldn't he come up with a scheme where he took over the body of someone younger, instead of old women and old men...at least the old woman made cookies...this guy made air biscuits. He pulled out the glade giving it a little spurt, then put it back in his jacket. ((LOL))
He then listened to them talk about drilling and he cleared his throat. "I could, focus my energy and vaporize the ice on a molecular level to drill into the ice if you need me to do it....when the rush of water comes though I will need someone to pull me out cause it will take a lot out of me."

She looks at the helicopter, then to Lotus...easy to guess which would be more comfortable to travel in, as well as less likely to get frost bite in...but, she did have a responsibility to keep her darling safe, so she made her way to the helicopter. For some reason, she was still wondering about the random pocket of non-ice in the arctic...something didn't seem right with it.
"Did the robots estimate the size of the area? It if isn't overly vast, it shouldn't take long to empty it and pull the equipment back after wards."

He slid his hands in his pockets, once the chopper took off Lotus would follow behind them going air born and flying in the distance behind him. He thought maybe he should have road in Lotus, he could be listening to music, playing games while the car drove it self, the heater was nice, the scent, the massaging seats, the fridge with snacks, the guns and missiles...instead he was riding in this thing.
A smelly worn down chopper that made patter sounds as the chopper blades turned, it seemed kind of drafty, and you could feel the wind currents, he looking over at his parents then to the pilot then back to them thinking. "I just hope it's just oil we run into up there..."

The clique transports were somewhat more highly developed than the average aircraft. This chopper would have them in the Arctic circle with 30 minutes. And the ETA for arrive at the drilling site....was 41.0123 minutes.*
I'm inclined to agree, darling. this one looks like a piece a cake...as it were.

He rose a brow at his father and chuckled. "I don't play Dragons and Dungeons or that other thing. I play more advanced games...games of mental trivia..." He pulled up face book, loading dawn of the dragons, flipping through what bosses their were, making a few clicks and finishing for the day. "d**n...I hate only being able to click a few times each day..."
He looked at the buy more points tab, if he bought more he could play more, but if he bought more then they would make money off clicking buttons, who would pay money to click buttons. He grumbled and flipped to the next game...it was the same game with different pictures. He ran out of clicks and sighed, flipping it off. "Stupid Zynga..."
He then started looking up how to drill a well, how to drill an oil well online and began looking at diagrams of how pressure worked, ice worked, how water would shoot out through holes once the ice was drilled through, how pockets of water could be caught between the ground and the ice, and then they would have to drill through frozen solid ground below it...it sounded harder and harder as he went about it.

"Something of that range would draw suspicion in most people. What depth is this possible gas pocket? I mean one hundred square miles...that's 64000 acres...larger than most cities. Hell, it's more than four Manhattans."
She glances at the screen for a moment, then out the window as they continue traveling.
"That could actually take a while to take out whatever is in the pocket, depending on how deep it is."

She rotates the map slowly and looks at it, "It has some interesting ice formations around it...and only this person in Metropolis has claim to the land in the area?"
