Izotza took another long drink of her Italian soda, thankful the coffeeshop had something besides… well… coffee.
“Thank you, by the way. I am very grateful for the chance to get out of the house a little. I know it’s not everyone’s favorite time of year, but it is mine.” She said with a soft laugh. “How have you been? It’s been such a long time since I’ve seen you.” she said emphatically.
--
"I've got to get away sometimes, too. Thankfully, I have a...nanny to watch the twins." She stops to think about it, "Oh, it has been a while since we've gotten to see each other...I had twins back in October, two girls. It was during that annoying zombie incident."
She shakes her head a bit, then runs her fingers through her hair to push it back some. "How have things been with you?"
--
“I hadn’t heard…” she said, shaking her head a little. “I mean, I had heard about the zombies, but not about the twins. Congratulations… and you look fabulous, by the way. Took me nearly a year after Alaina to take off the baby weight.”she commented with a shrug. “If you have pictures, I’d love to see them.” She said with a soft smile.
“I’ve been well enough. Admittedly, a little bored, but not enough where I want to get back into the game, I’m sure you understand…” she said, looking her friend over for a moment. “And… as I understand it, my daughter was seeing your stepson. That’s been… interesting.”
--
"It was hell trying to get pregnant...it took having a friend of mine near by for it to even be possible. As for the weight loss...having twins took a lot of it, but...my body's good at recovery, and keeping up with those two and Winston...I rarely find time to rest."
She lets her hand slip to her phone and pulls up the pictures of her girls and passes it over to Izzy, one brunette and one firey red haired. "I'm a bit concerned about Harriet...she seems to be mute, but I hear her well enough, Mia does enough crying for the both of them." She chuckles softly.
She sips her coffee, then nods a bit, "From the way I heard it...Tommy kidnapped Alaina to take her out on a date...and his version of a date is Maui."
--
“Oh my…” Izotza said, her face lighting up with a broad smile. “They are very lovely. Going to be heartbreakers for sure.” She said with a soft laugh as she handed the phone back.
“Yes, we were getting ready to go out and a long comes this oversized car, out of it pops a net around Alaina, and zoom they were off.” She said with a sigh. “All he really needed to do was ask.” She said, taking another sip of her drink. “I don’t exactly approve of the kidnapping… but… it’s nice for Alaina to have someone her relative age to talk to and such… and I can see how she’s on cloud 9 when she gets home…”
--
"I told him the same thing...whatever happened to asking someone's parents to see their daughter? And I have two of them now...though, I can't wait to see Winston interrogating anyone that wants to date them. Poor boys. Well, if he even shows concern for them...he does seem to neglect his children." She furrows her brow. "Something I don't intend on doing. He forgot Tommy's birthday again this year. And now this Charlene comes out of nowhere and he's nearly gotten her killed a few times."
She rubs her temples. "I'm glad that Alaina does have someone she can spend time with...who, also is able to withstand any incidents."
--
“She’s thankfully really gotten the hang of her powers.” She explained. “The incident… with uh… Winston. It left her a lot more knowledgeable, but also damaged in some aspects as well. Ultimately, it was a good learning experience, but not something we are eager to repeat.” She explained, trying to be delicate about the matter, but explaining the situation as best she could.
“Something she is also grateful to Junior for, as I understand it. Her vocal chords were severely damaged, so she doesn’t like to talk, and so she can just think strongly at him instead of talking.”
--
"That's good to hear. No more increased aging per explosion." She watches, seeing a bit of thoughts being withheld. "From what I've seen, Tommy should be able to heal, or at least repair vocal chords, though I'm surprised he hasn't done the opposite to his sister."
Another quick sip of coffee, and her cell vibrating...she gives it a quick glance, then just ignores it. "I haven't heard many of the details from what happened during the...date. Tommy does like to keep some of his life secret."
--
