Ancient Atlantis was located in the Atlantic Ocean between North America and Europe, which sank beneath the sea approximately 20,000 years ago. The continent of Atlantis boasted one of the most highly advanced civilizations of its age.
Founded about 21,000 years ago (19,000 BC), the civilization of Atlantis predates that of any known human civilization, and began a mere 4000 years after the retreat of the last ice age. Originally, Atlantis was a land of barbarians, one of whom, Kull, left and gained the throne of the nearby kingdom of Valusia. Over the 500 years between Kull's time and the sinking of Atlantis, Atlantis became the center of a small empire of sailors, craftsmen, traders, astrologers and alchemists. Atlantean sea vessels reached as far as the South Pole where they discovered the Antarctic jungle in a Game preserve they named Pangea (meaning "paradise"). Atlantean alchemists created the Serpent Crown, a vessel empowered by the demonic Elder God Set. The Serpent Crown is one of the few artifacts of ancient Atlantis crew survived until modern times. Few historical personages of the first Atlantean age are known to date. One of the few is Kull, the barbarian king ruled Atlantis about 500 years before it sank. Kull was renowned as the slayer of the arch wizard Thulsa Doom and was the enemy of the Serpent People, nonhuman but humanoid offspring of Set.
In it's last years, Atlantis was ruled by King Kamuu and his wife Queen Zartra, a native of the Lemurian Isles. The Lemurian Isles had been conquered by the non-human race of Deviants. The Atlantean empire had been in a state of decline after Kull's era. The empire was reeling with civil war in all of its provinces and the fighting kept encroaching closer and closer to the capital city. Finally barbarians from the Lemurian Isles attacked Atlantis on behalf of the Deviants Empire, and to rout their forces King Kamuu opened the magma pits, which were the city's means of heating. The Lemurian invaders were destroyed by the molten lava, but due to unprecedented volcanic pressure beneath the city, the magma released triggered a seismological cataclysm. First the capital city, and then the entire continent of Atlantis itself was rack by earthquakes and volcanic eruptions. At about the same time, the Deviants themselves launched an attack on the Second Host of the alien Celestials. The Celestials retaliated by causing a cataclysm which sank Lemurian and created shockwaves that shook the entire world. As a result f these aftershocks, the entire continent of Atlantis fragmented and vanished beneath the Atlantic Ocean in about a week.
There were few survivors of the Atlantean catastrophe. The largest concentration of survivors was in the southern city of Netheria, whose priests and intellectuals foresaw attack by the Lemurians. They enclosed at their small city in the dome of an unknown plastic like substance and excavated and fortified their cities foundation. Consequently, when the continent of Atlantis and fragmented, Netheria remained intact as it sank, coming to rest in a huge sub sea cavern. Finding a way to recycle their air supply, the Netherians renamed their realm the Netherworld. The Netherworld now under the rule of Queen Kala, and it exists today.
Tiny bands of Atlanteans managed to find refuge on neighboring islands of the European continent, which were buffeted by the Atlantis catastrophe but not destroyed. The nearby island of Attilan, home of the genetically advanced but reclusive inhumans, also survived the cataclysms virtually unscratched.
Years later, a new type of human being appeared in the Atlantic Ocean possessing gills to breathe underwater. The origins of Homo mermanus are lost. The capacity to breathe underwater may have been scientifically bestowed upon surviving Atlanteans using technologies from Inhuman or Deviant geneticists. The water breathers themself credits Neptune, god of the sea, with their transformation from air to water breathers. The theory of Homo mermanus as a result of natural evolution is unsupportable.
For millennia, the tribe of Homo mermani were a nomadic hunter-gatherer society, wandering the Atlantic Ocean. Finally, about six thousand years ago, they discovered the ruins of the capital city of ancient Atlantis, which had lain undisturbed since it sank years before. The prince of the 'Sea People', named Kamuu after the legendary surface Atlantean ruler, happened upon the throne of his ancient namesake. Upon discovering the original Kamuu's throne, the spirit of the last king of ancient Atlantis visited him. The spirit of King Kamuu bade his water-breathing namesake to settle here on the site of old Atlantis and to found a new Atlantis. The young Kamuu convinced people to settle and they began to build a new city of Atlantis.
The city fell victim to natural disasters and sieges by barbarian tribes over the next few centuries, but each time Atlantis was rebuilt in a greater splendor. About 500 years after the founding of the undersea Atlantis, a group of Homo mermanus left the city and made their way to the Pacific Ocean and founded the city of Lemuria on the opposite end of the now submerged continent of Lemuria from that settled by the Deviants. Due to acquisition and worship of a Serpent Crown, a magical artifact from the pre-cataclysmic Atlantis, the Lemurians' complexions and features have taken a more serpentine cast than their Atlantean forebears.
Little is known by surface people about the history of the Atlanteans. It is known that the god Neptune dwelt with the Atlanteans for a time. The Atlanteans also encountered Deviant refugees and it was from them that they acquired their advanced technology..
The Atlanteans had very little contact with their surface dwelling parents raised until recent times. This was largely due to the fact that neither water breeders' nor air breathers could survive the upside there native environment for more than minutes without drowning. With the recent inventions a potion to enable a water breeder to breathe air for up to five hours, greater interactions between the races became possible.
About two hundred years ago, Atlantis was attacked by hordes of undersea barbarians hailing from the nearby province of Skarka. Although the Atlanteans managed to repel the invasions, the city of Atlantis sustained heavy damages. Emperor Thakorr, who ascended the throne after former King Immanu died in battle with the barbarians, decided to move the capital city of the empire from the traditional site. He led the Atlanteans to a location not far from the continent of Antarctica. The Atlanteans lived in peace there until the 1920's, when an American ship was sent to Antarctica to clear a path through the icebergs. The detonation of explosive depth charges rocked the undersea City, killing a tenth of its inhabitants. Thakorr bade his daughter Fen to assign a scouting party to investigate the attack. The adventurous Fen decided to go herself. Fen learned that the bombardment was not an act of war, and became romantically attracted to the ship's captain, Leonard McKenzie. The American and Atlantean were soon married and Fen later gave birth to Namor, a mutant highbred of the two races. Later, most of McKenzie's crew were slain by the Atlanteans who believed they held Fen captive.
Namor possesses the ability to breed in air and underwater and became the Atlanteans first emissary to the surface world. At first hostile to his father's people, he joined with American heroes to former the Invaders in order to battle Nazi aggression. After World War Two, Namor encountered Paul Destine, an American who on earth the Serpent Crown from the Antarctic hiding place where band of Lemurians had buried. Destine use the Crown to amplify his natural psonic powers and as an exercise of power, destroyed the nearby capital city of Atlantis with the mental blast. Namor's grandfather Thakorr and mother Fen were among the many casualties of the Atlantis's destruction. Namor was rendered amnesiac by the blast of Destine's power also, and wandered the surface world for decades before the Human torch helped restore his memory. Namor returned to the sea, but his people were not to be found.
Eventually, Namor was reunited with his people, and was crowned prince of Atlantis. Namor decided to rebuild the Atlantis on its original site in the North Atlantic rather than the site near Antarctica. With the surface world learning of the existence of Homo mermanus, Atlantis was subjected to even more tumultuous fortunes. Three time Atlantis declared war on the surface world and brought troops into Manhattan Island, only to withdraw them before casualties were sustained. Namor even petitioned the United Nations to accept Atlantis into its organization and was rejected on more the one occasion.
Following the death of his betrothed, Lady Dorma, Namor abdicated the throne of Atlantis for time. In his absence, the barbarians and plunders besieged Atlantis. Before long the Atlanteans begged Namor to return to the throne and he agreed. The Atlanteans were then the victims of accidental nerve gas poisoning, leaving thousands of Homo mermani who dwelled in the capital city in deathlike comas. Once Namor had exhausted other possible sources of aid, he turned to his onetime ally the power hungry Dr. Doom. Namor agreed to serve Doom for a time if Doom would use his scientific expertise to revive the Atlanteans. Both parties upheld their end of the bargain, and the Atlanteans were revived. The Atlanteans revered Namor for his role in their resuscitation with such fervor that it rankled him. Sometime later, however, the ruling council of the Atlanteans assessed Namor's leadership, evaluated the impact of his continual leaves of absence from the kingdom, and voted that Namor give up his role. Namor reluctantly agreed. The city of Atlantis and its small empire of colonies was then ruled by Lord Vashti.

Llyron was supposed to be the son of Prince Namor, and heir to the throne of Atlantis. What he (supposedly) turned out to be was half that. Prince Namor is a hybrid of a human and an Atlantean, and as such he is unable to breed. Instead what Llyron turned out to be is the son of Leon McKenzie, grandson to Leonard McKenzie. Even though Leonard McKenzie never sat upon the Atlantean throne because Llyron and Namor are of the same lineage and therefore Llyron is in fact an heir to the throne of Atlantis. (In fact, Llyron's mother is ALSO a hybrid and should also theoretically be unable to breed. My contention is that Llyron is a test tube baby, made from Namor and Llyra's genetics. Llyron would not bother to argue the point since by Atlantean law he is heir to the throne anyway. Also note that some hybrids CAN breed. IE : wolf/dog hybrids ARE fertile). Llyra's evil plan worked perfectly. Unfortunately for her Llyron has the same mind as his mother, and he sold her out as soon as it became beneficial for him to do so. Namor #54-Namor learns that Llyra is plotting against him when confronts Phoebe Marrs about Roxxon workers who claim she told her to attack him. Near the boundary trench of Old Atlantis Llyra is hooked up to a machine that will advance her pregnancy to full term in a matter of hours. She is trying to have Namor's baby so that he will be the heir to Atlantis. Vyrra, who is an expert in cloning is Llyra's help in the birth, tells her that she has conceived a son. Vyrra suggests altering the genetic identity because Llyra's baby will have to share Llyra's mind. Llyra decides to stick with her son. Vyrra delivers Llyra's son. She, because he is now in the body of a Dorma clone, places the baby in a biological time-decompression crèche. As Llyra recovers for an hour after the birth she watches her son grow into a man, pointy ears and all. Vyrra calls Llyra in to admire her fully formed sixteen-year-old son. As he emerges from the machine, with amphibious winged feet, Llyra comes up behind Vyrra and snaps his neck. Llyra then destroys Vyrra's real body and leaves with her son. Llyra arrives in Atlantis, a kingdom without a king, and presents the next in the royal bloodline Llyron, son of Namor. Namor #55- Llyra presents Llyron to the Council of Three. Llyra suggests a blood test to determine Llyron's lineage. As the talk a guard interrupts as Tiger Shark is seen headed for Atlantis. Llyron smashes into Tiger Shark from behind. Tamara fights with Llyra. Llyron hits Tiger Shark, but Shark angles around and grabs Llyron and slashes across his stomach. Llyron hits Tiger Shark and remarks how Shark's fighting style is the same as the last time they teamed. Shark doesn't realize that Llyron shares all of his mother's memories. Shark smashes Llyron with a rock, but Llyron smashes through the rock. Remora tells Namor about Llyron. Llyron and Llyra tie up the beaten Tiger Shark and Tamara. Namor comes face to face with Llyron. When Namor insults Llyra, Llyron grabs Namor by the neck. Namor throws him off through a pillar. Llyron uses the pillar to hit Namor. Llyron punches Namor. Namor strikes Llyron back. He breaks off another pillar, but misses Llyron with it. Vashti yells at them to stop. Namor takes Shark and Tamara and leaves. Namor #56- Llyra steals the Horn of Proteus that is used to call Giganto. Llyron has the communication wires between America and Europe severed as they go across the ocean's floor. Llyron appears at the United Nations. Phoebe Marrs realizes the connection when she sees Leon McKenzie who claims she seduced him and tried to get him to embezzle Oracle, Inc. funds. Namor sees Giganto heading towards Manhattan. As Llyron addresses the U.N. and essentially blames Namor for their bad past Giganto (with Namor on its head) crashes into the U.N. building. Llyron hits Namor off Giganto. Namor goes to try and settle the other beasts riled by the Horn of Proteus, but Llyron takes a more direct approach and begins killing them. Namor spots Llyra blowing the horn, but before he can stop her Giganto ruptures a gas main and causes an explosion. Giganto runs back to the water. The police put an APB on Namor. Phoebe Marrs picks up Namor, and Namor hears on the radio that due to the heroics of Llyron Atlantis has been accepted into the United Nations. Namor #57- Phoebe Marrs informs Namor that the man Llyra had sex with to conceive Llyron was a Leon McKenzie, grandson to Namor’s father, Leonard McKenzie. Namor says that even though his father never sat upon the throne of Atlantis that Llyron is a valid heir to the throne. In the Grand Atrium in the Senate House of Atlantis Llyron addresses his subjects. He says that today is the beginning of a “new wave ascending for our people”. He says that today Atlantis will join the assemblage known as the United Nations, a feat that not even Namor has managed. Raman and Seth whisper behind his back that they still don’t trust Llyron because he is the spawn of Llyra. Llyra tells Llyron that the people seem to have been won over, but that everyone still scorns her. She asks him what he is going to do about it. Llyron says that they share the same mind, and asks Llyra what she would do about it. Llyron grabs the bag off Llyra’s shoulder and “reveals” to his subjects that Llyra is the traitor among them. He shows them all the Horn of Proteus in Llyra’s bag. He orders the guards to arrest her. Llyra curses Llyron, but her curses are drowned out by the cheering of the Atlanteans. As Llyron is about to be coronated King of all Atlantis Namor burst onto the scenes. He reveals that Llyron is not his son at all, but rather a descendant of Leonard McKenzie. Llyron says that they still share common ancestry and asks Namor if he is going to try to destroy him and the Crystal City in another senseless struggle. Namor says that he is half-right. A broadbill comes and hooks Llyron’s regal cape on its sword carrying him out of the city. Namor says that Llyron will face the wrath of the Avenging Son. Llyron says that the name no longer suits Namor because he has nothing left to avenge. Llyron points out that not one Atlantean is attempting to help him. He says that he has abandoned them too often. Namor confronts Llyron with the cutting of the transatlantic cable between Europe and America and the stealing of the Trumpet of Proteus. Llyron says that the cable was Thakos’ idea, and that Llyra stole the horn and that he is punishing her for that. As they battle a sunken ship falls on them. They have no leverage and are trapped under the ship. The people of Atlantis come and dig them out. They pick up Llyron and say, “All hail Prince Llyron, King of Atlantis. Llyron says that the people have spoken and that he will restore Atlantis to its previous prominence. Seth and Vashti wish to remain with Namor, but he tells them that they must go keep an eye on Llyron for him. Namor #61- Morgan Le Fey sets an explosive device in the proper place inside the underwater volcano near Ireland known as R9. She detonates the explosive. Suddenly Atlantis shakes. Llyron is in the Building of Knowledge when the quake hits. Llyron wants to know what is going on. Vashti tells him that his new republic is falling down around his ears. Llyron says that this is Vashti’s doing, and that he should slay him where he stands. The Library Towers crumbles. Finally someone tells Llyron that the volcano surface dwellers call R9 has erupted, and that as a result the ocean floor on which Atlantis rests has now risen fifteen meters. Morgan Le Fey confronts Namor with a super pumped Triton and Blood Wraith. She tells Namor that she is going to reclaim the land known as Avalon, but adds that Namor might know it better as Atlantis. Namor #62- Two of Llyron’s men spot a gravely injured Namor with a woman that appears to be Andromeda. One of them wants to go tell Llyron, but the other tells him to keep his mouth shut. They takes Namor to Vashti. When Namor awakens from his sleep (with visions of Morgan Le Fey’s dreams on conquest of Avalon/Atlantis from Kamuu- the last king of the above ground Atlantis) he realizes that Andromeda isn’t Andromeda, but rather Genevieve Cross’ soul within Andromeda’s body. He says that it is because she is unused to even breathing with gills that she cannot speak. Llyron enters and remarks that is the reason that it is so quiet around lately. Namor asks how he dare intrude. Llyron reminds Namor that he is the one who is intruding. Llyron says that he banished Namor from his realm. Namor shows them the Sword of Kamuu, and says that it says different. Llyron says that neither he, nor his people, recognize some rusty artifact. Suddenly another seaquake hits. Namor tells Llyron that if truly cares for his subjects that he will get them out of the Crystal City, and that he has to go try and prevent Atlantis from surfacing. Namor is unsuccessful and Atlantis rises to the surface of the ocean. Atlantis Rising #1- One of the surviving Atlanteans tells Llyron that those lucky enough to possess vehicles or those that lived on the outside cities managed to survive, but those in such inner cities such as Amphitrite are doomed. Vashti says that must be as much as 60% of their population. Llyron says that Namor somehow brought this atrocity upon them, and that the next time Namor is seen he wants him killed on sight. Fantastic Four #402- Vashti tells of Llyron’s tireless efforts to save the Atlantean people that survived Atlantis’ surfacing. Llyron seen leading his people. Atlantis Rising #2- The search for survivors ends with only a greater death toll. Llyron says that it was to be expected. He calls off all the other searches and tells them to prepare the living for the great exodus. Vashti says that he doesn’t think that they should go anywhere without their true monarch. Llyron tells Vashti to look around. He shows him all the injured, but at least living, Atlanteans. He tells Vashti to go ask them if they want to wait for their “true monarch” who is off on a personal quest in their hour of need. Vashti asks if Llyron plans to lead them to their former refuge at the South Pole. Llyron says that Attuma reigns there now, and that his forces would slaughter them. Llyron says that he will find a new home, and when they are strong again he will set upon a course which will spell doom for all humanity. Fantastic Four Unlimited #11- Namor finds Llyra in the ruins of Atlantis. Namor tells her that he wants to know where Llyron has taken his people. Namor says that he knows Llyra and Llyron share the same mind and asks where she would take them. Llyra says that she was double-crossed by Vyrra and that she thinks Llyron shares a mind with Vyrra and not her. Namor leaves Llyra there and goes in search of Llyron. Elsewhere Seth asks why Llyron has lead them out into an air pocket. A soldier responds that Llyron wants to demonstrate something. He shoots the bubble that allows Seth to breathe. Vashti says that Seth cannot breathe and Llyron says that is the point. Llyron says that he is ordering all women of childbearing age to be implanted with clones. Vashti says that cloning was banned long ago. Llyron says that desperate time calls for desperate measures. Llyron elaborates that the clones will be accelerated and enhanced as he was. Llyron says that then he and the clones will attack the surface world. _____________________________________________________________________________________ This is the point where mainstream differs from my application. In the comics, Llyron appeared in the Thunderbolt series and wore gold booties over his ankle wings because the artist couldn't draw feet. In my canon play, if this mainstream occurence DID happen, it was an escaped clone of and not Llyron himself. Llyron, after helping his people flee to deep water following the Rising of Atlantis, began to repopulate using not true clones but test tube fertilizations and accelerated gestations and growths (once the children were live born). He could not use actual clones as cloning is illegal in Atlantis. The live birth being a technicality to get around this law. Llyron himself was an accelerated gestation and growth child. He has the powers of Namor, limited shapeshifting abilities (he can change his coloration and minor features about himself ... ie : the pointy ears etc. His mother could actually take on male forms etc, but for Llyron in this room I shall not have him doing more than cosmetic changes to his skin, etc. He is as strong as Namor, and able to easily hold his own in hand to hand combat with him. He is a calm, sarcastic fighter, unlike his father's berserker style. He also possesses his mother's full memory core in addition to the memories and mind of the (mad) scientist Vyrra (who created him), Atlantis has appealed to Nato and the UN for disaster relief, and over the last 5 years has rebuilt and repopulated. The new continent, bigger than texas, has become a Mecca for industrial and tourism investment. Mineral resources, now above ground, are being exploited, aided by the advanced Atlantean sciences. Note a large percentage of the new population is hybrids, like Llyron himself, and all the new ones have memory cores based upon real Atlantean donors, though computer altered for personality randomness and enhanced loyalty to Atlantis AND of course Llyron himself. Many of the new population members are mutates, with activated x-factors. (An easy base for new characters should anyone wish). Immigration is encouraged, and they also have a surrogacy program in which surface human women can spent a couple weeks going through the accelerated gestation process and helping the population (and getting paid in the process). Also, all pureblood Atlanteans are required to carry an emergency dose of the drug Ox with them, in case of another disaster. (Namor I#62 - BTS) - Morgan's soul was reincarnated in the body of oceanographer Dr. Vivian Morgan. (Namor I#59 - BTS) - Vivian was awakened from her beachfront bungalow on San Paolo island, and she followed a call carried on the ocean breeze which brought her to a cavern, where a cult performed a ritual, summoning a wise "Priestess of the sea and the moon" to stop their island from sinking. The leader of the cult, the Priest of the Moon, told her to seek "the one who emanates magnetism of both the tides and the moon," and that his sacrifice would save the Azores. The priest of the cult gave Vivian the Star Sapphire pendant. (Namor I#60 - BTS) - Vivian tried to show the cult's cavern to Wilfred, but it was not to be found, though they did find the injured body of the Inhuman Triton lying in the surf. After bringing Triton back to the Institute Oceanographica de Ponta Delgada, Vivian became irate when Wilfred recommended they report their finding to the local constabulary. Refusing to allow them to "share the limelight," Vivian raked Wilfred's face with her nails, driving him off. Vivian studied the strong magnetism Triton was giving off, and she recognized him as the one the priests had foretold, especially since his presence excited a reaction in her pendant. When Vivian heard the sounds of a nearby struggle of Namor and Andromeda against the Blood Wraith, she assumed that Namor had come for Triton, and she headed out to find a place to hide him. She was discovered by Andromeda, but then unexpectedly clubbed the Atlantean, enabling her to escape. (Namor I#61) - In scuba gear, Vivian placed a number of explosive charges around a nearby undersea volcano. She then returned to her ship, surprising Wilfred with her hair, now magenta in color, and she kicked him off of the ship, escaping as the charges went off. Having ensorceled Triton, she returned to the coast, when she levitated the Ebony Blade back into the hands of the otherwise defeated Blood Wraith, enabling him to skewer Andromeda with it. Sir Percy's spirit enabled both Namor and Andromeda's spirits to escape from the Blade and revive their injured bodies. At that point, Vivian removed her cloak, having fully transformed into a duplicate of Morgan, and revealed her plot to raise Atlantis. (Namor I#62) - Morgan sent Triton and the Blood Wraith to assault Namor, but Namor took the Ebony Blade and hurled it far into the ocean. However, he then took Andromeda and fled towards Atlantis, where his and Andromeda's wounds could be better treated. As he recovered, Morgan summoned a group of Darkholder priests, using Triton to invoke the moon tide, calling upon Selene of the Moon and Levenah of the Tides, Isis, Gaea, Ea, Binah, and Shaddai el Chai. Namor arrived to stop her, wielding the legendary Sword of Kamuu. In addition, Namor returned with the Ebony Blade, restoring it to its sheath, which turned the Blood Wraith back into the benevolent Sean Dolan. Namor struggled with Trition, helping him overcome Morgan's influence, but when Sean hurled the Sword of Kamuu in an effort to kill Morgan, Triton leapt into its path, wishing to save the innocent Vivian Morgan who coexisted with Morgan. However, when the sword struck Triton, it completed the needed sacrifice, and Morgan used its power to draw Atlantis to the surface of the ocean. Triton had become imbued with magnetic power during a recent adventure with Namor, and this energy facilitated the terraforming. (Fantastic Four: Atlantis Rising#1) - Morgan taunted Namor, who fled with Sean Dolan and Triton, taking the latter for medical care. About that time, Nathaniel Richards unwittingly set off a security device within Uatu the Watcher's citadel, which caused a black hole-like effect which rapidly consumed the citadel; Nathaniel narrowly teleported to safety in time. However, this effect so began to show in the nearby Attilan. The Inhumans requested aid from the Fantastic Four (Ant-Man, Invisible Woman, Thing), and Kristoff Vernard used Dr. Doom's memories to replicate his shrink ray, shrinking Attilan to tiny size and transporting it away from the moon in time to save it from destruction. However, the Fantastic Four lost the shrunken city to Maximus and his loyal "Evil" Inhumans. Meanwhile, Morgan gathered her Darkholders to the shores of the newly raised Atlantis, claiming it as her own. When Thor confronted her, she used her new Gaea-spawned power to enslave him. While Thor held off the returning Namor, Morgan cast an electromagnetic barrier over her new "Avalon;" though she opened a portal for and made an alliance with the Inhumans Genetic Council (Arcadius, Cynas, Furgar, Kitang, Porcal, Sapphiras, Targon, Thernon) when they arrived and subdued Namor. (Fantastic Four I#401) - Arcadius of the Genetics Council debated with Morgan over rightful ownership of the raised island. As the Fantastic Four's Stealth-Hawk ship approached, she sent Thor to capture them, but Nathaniel Richards teleported Attilan away. (Fantastic Force#9) - Morgan sent Triton to steal Attilan from Richards, who was based out of Castle Doom in Latveria. Meanwhile, Thor was freed from Morgan's control, and he joined forces with the Fantastic Four, Namor, and Kristoff. (Fantastic Four: Atlantis Rising#2) - Morgan, having captured Nathaniel Richards, instructed him to devise the means to restore Attilan to full size. In addition, her Darkholders located the Ebony Blade for her, and she cast a potent spell to tap into its full power. Using this, she captured the FF, Thor, and Kristoff, but was then attacked by the Fantastic Force (Devlor, Huntara, Human Torch, Psi-Lord, & Vibraxis). She was also followed by the Genetics Council, who recognized that she could not be trusted with Attilan. Psi-Lord freed Morgan's captives, causing a backlash as the thousands of souls within the Ebony Blade were channeled through Morgan herself. Nathaniel enlarged Attilan, which gained a new home on the former Atlantis. The non-Inhumans fled the growing city, but the nearly incapacitated Morgan remained behind. Weakened, she retreated leaving Atlantis risen but uninhabited save by the inhuman city of Attilan. Note : Attilan has since relocated, but Llyron has designated it's resting spot as a reserve for them, should they ever need a docking point for their floating city again.

The full tour :
The viewing room was a chamber with black marble and thin strips of shining chrome and recessed lighting. About them the marble walls faded, replaced by a computer generated hologram of ancient air breathing atlantis ... the beautiful stonework and ancient art, flowing robes worn by sparkling merchants, nobles, soldiers and statesmen.
"This is a CGI representation of Amphitrite, before Atlantis sank below the sea ... Atlantis was millenia ahead of other cultures, with the exception of a race called the Deviants. They were a race of mutant like creatures, who ... unlike normal human mutants ... nearly ALWAYS had physical deviations from human standards of aesthetic appearance, and tended toward low to moderate power mutations. Only rarely was anything near an alpha level mutant found. But their technology was HIGHLY advanced."
"The Deviants, and this is what THEY call themselves, went to war against the Atlanteans. And simulataneously against a powerful space faring race. They were a very war like people. We modern Atlanteans believe in war, but for betterment and justice ... not subjugation."
The scene changed to a view from space ... a CGI image of the ancient landmasses ... those in a pacific being blasted by massive energies from beyond space. The entire continent sinking beneath the ocean.
"Reports of the ancient past are vague ... we do not know exactly what happened. The space faring races destroyed the deviants, and their land, based in the pacific ocean, sank beneath the waves. While in the Atlantic Ocean, the Atlanteans were battling armies and mercenaries sent by the Deviants. Atlantis too sank beneath the waves. Something caused the tectonic plate to sink. One myth has the ancient atlantean kings using the power of their geothermic devices to destroy the armies but somehow cause the small continent to sink as a side effect. Or did the space faring race sink Atlantis as it did the deviants home continent, to destroy the deviant armies? Was it natural disaster? We don't really know. But Atlantis sank. All died save a city here and there at the outskirts, protected by inpenetrable domes."
An aquatic scene ... proud nomadic atlantean warriors, armed with tridents and wearing the gold and orichalcum jewelry of their people. Hunting fierce predators beneath the water ... scenes later, battling against fierce but more primitive looking aquatic barbarians.
"No one knows how the modern atlanteans got their aquatic abilities. Some say that they were a gift from the god Poseidon, who lived with the Atlanteans at one time and still has influence. Or did they change their genetics using their own or deviant technology? But for millienia the aquatic atlanteans avoided the waters that were once ancient Atlantis. They were a nomadic warrior people ... strong and fierce."
The view changes again, showing cautious atlantean warriors exploring the ancient ruins of OLD Atlantis, and finally entering a great but ruined palace.
"About six thousand years ago, lead by their great king Kamuu, they began to explore and reclaim the ancient territory. Kamuu, by the way, was named after the last SURFACE king of Atlantis. Finally they explored the ancient capital of Atlantis itself and discovered the ancient throne and throneroom of the elder kingdom. There, Kamuu encountered the spirit of his namesake. They spoke and the spirit of the elder Kamuu was so impressed by the young king that he gave him his blessing to settle his realm and bestowed upon him his enchanted sword. That sword, which to this day, is a national treasure of Atlantis and which resides in my very own vaults. A gleaming weapon of Orichalcum, a metal stronger than osmium steel and enchantable to indestructible strength. It gleams like gold fresh from the fires of the forge."
"For years the Atlanteans lived regally, their kingdom often rocked by disasters and war with aquatic barbarian tribes, but always it grew stronger and stronger. The atlanteans eventually acquired and developed their advanced technology far beyond that of even modern surface humans. Though technologically advanced, they maintained their warrior traditions."
"About a few hundred years ago, war with the barbarians was again at a peak. King Thakorr moved his people to a new site near antarctica. However, this new site encountered disaster after disaster, mostly caused by surface humans. Usually unintentionally, but a few times purposefully. The villain Paul Destine once destroyed the new capital. But eventually, the Atlanteans moved back to the traditional site."
The scene showed modern day footage of Atlantis rising violently out of the water ... lightning beat upon the area, the likes of which the earth hadn't seen in millenia. Above it all, a beautiful yet insane woman laughed maniacally.
"The next great change in Atlantean history occurred about six years ago. Only months after I, Prince Llyron, had taken the throne. A wizardess named Morgan Le Fey, used her magics to caused a shift in the tectonic plates beneath the small continent and Atlantis was again raised above sea level in a traumatic, horrific surge. Half the population died, and most of these were the elderly or young. To this day, Atlantis has a bounty on the head of the villianess ... and those who bring us vengeance will be national heroes."
The scene showed the Atlantean people working round the clock trying to save as many as they could, but in many cases failing. Then, an entire nation, moving southward beneath the water. It was almost like the Exodus.
"The days following the cataclysm were bleak ... as the Atlanteans retreated to their territories to the south, fearful of invasion by the barbarians. A repopulation program was instituted, using the technology of a banished but incredibly brilliant atlantean scientist named Vyrra. The same genius who had assisted in my birth. Unfortunately, Vyrra died before he could see his technology used to aid the people he so loved, and helping make amends for the misguided mistakes of his youth."
The scene showed proud Atlantean warriors fighting back barbarians to retake their realm. At their head, Llyron lead the armies. It showed large numbers of hybrids moving up onto the land, and a fractional scene as the surface land area was settled. Business interests from other nations moved in, but always above their corporate logos hung the Atlantean flag.
"Following the disaster, the surface world offered humanitarian aid ... which was accepted on a loan basis only. Other loans were taken out using the vast treasure troves of the kingdom as collateral. The repopulation program was a massive success, with a population greater than it has ever been ... and growing. Also Atlantis has not only paid back all of these loans but the surface access to it's mineral wealth and commercialization of portions of it's technology has made the Atlanteans incredibly wealthy. With a land mass the size of eastern europe, the potential is nearly unlimited. We strive, however, to always make our advancements in deference to the environment. And while our surface area grows, we labor endlessly to better the aquatic portions of our realm also. "
The scene changed ... modern day Atlantis. Two major cities, done with tasteful combinations of ancient and modern. It was like Las Vegas on the city streets, the Riviera on the beach front, and like a national park at the almost innumerable archeological and historical sites. Ancient were the aquatic Atlantean sites but even older were the ruins of old Atlantis, finally available for study. The scenes showed blue skinned Atlanteans in the water, hybrids working on the shores, human immigrants abounded everywhere ... a scene of prosperity.
"So ends our tour. We've only begun our journey. We're greatly underpopulated for our land mass area, and welcome industries, workers, scientists and students from all countries to explore the opportunities that await us all."
